Frequently asked questions

Questions we are asked most

Below are answers to the questions we receive most often. If yours is not here, write to us directly.

What types of cargo do you handle?

We handle transit permit applications via Istanbul Airport for military, defence-industry and strategic cargo.

Do you guarantee that the permit will be granted?

No. The assessment of the application and the granting of the transit permit rest entirely with the competent authorities. Our task is to prepare and submit a complete file and to follow up the process.

How long does an application take?

The assessment period varies with the workload of the competent authorities and the content of the file. As we have no influence over it, we give no undertaking as to timescales.

What information do you need to begin?

The nature of the cargo, the origin and destination countries, the routing and the existing transport documents are enough. Once we have those, we set out the records that may be requested. The list is sent to you by e-mail.

How is the confidentiality of our information protected?

Cargo content, counterparties and routing are shared only with the team assigned to the file and are not passed to third parties. We exercise due care in protecting your information.

Do you also carry out carriage, customs clearance or ground handling?

No. Flight clearance, customs clearance, bonded warehousing, ground handling, carriage, transfer, cargo handling, storage and flight operations fall outside the scope of our service. Our service is limited to consultancy and document follow-up for the transit permit application.

Do you issue the documents yourselves?

No. The documents are prepared by the client and by the parties authorised to issue them. We review the documents sent for completeness and file integrity and notify the client of anything missing.

Do you work exclusively through Istanbul Airport?

Yes. Our service is limited to transit permit applications for movements via Istanbul Airport.

Which languages do you work in?

The documents you send us must be in English. Where a document has been issued in another language, a copy translated into English by a sworn translator must be sent to us. The Turkish-language correspondence, applications and follow-up required with the relevant institutions and authorities in Türkiye are carried out by us on our client's behalf.
